REPORT: Three former prison inmates become most powerful men of Syrian opposition

Zahran Alloush, Hassan Abboud and Issa al-Sheikh were prison inmates in Syria’s Saydnaya prison and were released in mid-2011, in accordance with the presidential amnesty decrees issued with the outbreak of the Syrian revolution.

Upon their release, these men established the biggest military groups of the Syrian opposition.
