Diva Tina Turner relinquishes US citizenship

Tina Turner relinquished her United States citizenship, and took a Swiss nationality after living there for almost 20 years.

Turner said that she has no ties to the U.S. anymore “except for her family, and has no plans to reside in the United States in the future.”

The diva, who retired from touring in 2009, married her partner of 27 years in July, German music producer Erwin Bach.
