Two Italian priests, Canadian nun kidnapped in Cameroon

Italy's foreign ministry said on Saturday that two Italian priests and a Canadian nun have been kidnapped in northern Cameroon.

The attack took place in the north of the west African country, which borders Nigeria.

The Italian foreign ministry added that two priests from Italy had been seized without giving no other details.

The attack comes three months after the release of French priest Georges Vandenbeusch, who was kidnapped in the same region in November 2013 and then held in Nigeria.

One of the two priests had been in Cameroon for more than six years while the second had arrived around a year ago.
