Haniyeh to meet with Erdogan in Turkey

Anatolia news agency reported that Gaza’s Prime Minister and senior official in Hamas Ismail Haniyeh will visit Turkey on Sunday. The agency added that this will be Haniyeh’s first visit since Hamas took over Gaza Strip in 2007.

The news agency stressed that Hanieyh will meet with Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan in his headquarters in Istanbul.

Haniyeh’s visit follows discussions held in Turkey last month between him and the Head of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas.
