Venezuela arrests two guards over student death during anti-government protests
The Venezuelan government said on Wednesday that two National Guards were arrested over the death of a student in anti-government protests.

41 people have died since students and opponents of the leftist government of President Nicolas Maduro took to the streets in February to protest against crime, runaway inflation and shortages of basic goods.

Wednesday's case involved the death of a student hit in the head with a buckshot in the state of Carabobo during a protest on February 19.

With the new arrests, the numbers of those detained has risen up to 20 members of the security apparatuses for alleged abuses during the street protests.
