Polish couple taking selfie die in cliff fall
          
Portuguese authorities are investigating the deaths of a Polish couple who fell from a cliff on Saturday (August 9).  

The couple were with their children at the time and investigators say they were taking 'selfie' photographs when they fell.         

Rescue workers had to give up their attempts to recover the bodies from the Atlantic Ocean on Saturday night due to weather conditions and resumed the search on Sunday.         

Both bodies were found at about 1030gmt (1130am local time), the National Authority for Civil Protection confirmed.          

Fire officer Bruno Tomas said the couple had been next to the cliff edge with their children.             

Local port official Pinto Moreira said it seemed the couple had been taking 'selfies' at the cliff edge.          

The children are now in the care of Polish diplomats and been seen by psychologists.
