Syrian President Assad offers Eid prayers at Damascus mosque

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad attended on Saturday morning (October 4) Eid al-Adha prayers at a mosque in the Syrian capital Damascus.

Assad arrived at Nu'man bin Basheer Mosque and was received by Syria's Grand Mufti Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun.

Muslims around the world celebrate Eid al-Adha by the sacrificial killing of sheep, goats, cows and camels to commemorate Prophet Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail on God's command.
