Ashton: Iran should cooperate with the IAEA

The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs Catherine Ashton said that Iran should allow the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to have full supervision over Iran’s nuclear proliferation program. She added that the sanctions on Iran due to its nuclear activities will not be lifted anytime soon.

Ashton’s spokesperson Michael Man said on Monday that Ashton presented concrete proposals on behalf of the G6 group- United States, Russia, France, Britain, China and Germany- in order to lift the sanction imposed previously on Iran.

Man expressed his regrets on Iran’s refusal to launch an international dialogue to discuss its nuclear program.
