Iraq executes Saddam's Private Secretary

Iraqi authorities carried out the death sentence of fallen president Saddam Hussein’s private secretary Abed Hammoud, one of the most prominent men of the former regime.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Justice Haidar al-Saadi said the Justice Department carried out the death sentence in accordance with Article 13/1/1000 of the High Criminal Court Act which relates to crimes of genocide humanity.
