Yemeni delegation to visit Riyadh
A delegation from the Yemeni ruling party will visit Riyadh on Thursday to discuss with President Ali Abdullah Saleh the ongoing negotiations between Yemen’s Vice President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi and the current opposition to find a way out of the current crackdown.

The delegation’s visit comes after the ruling party’s meeting where Saleh was called upon to transfer his authority to his VP Hadi. The Party’s meeting extended for two days in Sanaa, were heated discussions occurred between opposing views within the ruling party on critical issues.

In late 2010, Yemeni protestors demanded an end to President Saleh’s thirty-year rule. On June 3, 2011 Saleh was injured in an attempted assassination, taken to Saudi Arabia for medical treatment where he currently remains.
