Feltman from Tripoli: NATO operations to continue until Libyans no longer in danger

Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Jeffrey Feltman said that the NATO military operations aimed at protecting civilians in Libya will continue “until they are no longer in danger”.

“The U.S. and its international allies are permanently committed to support the Libyans who are building the future of their country”, Feltman said during his visit to Tripoli. “This support encompasses cooperation with the NATO to continue military operations that aim at protecting Libyans until they are no longer in danger”.

Feltman added that the U.S. is seeking to establish wide relations with Libya based on mutual respect and common interest.
