2 explosions rock Damascus leave 6 for dead, several wounded

A car bomb exploded in the Syrian capital Damascus on Friday, state television said, the second blast in a day against government targets.
 
Syria TV said a "terrorist explosion" hit an area between the city's main courthouse and its Ministry of Information. No casualties had yet been reported.      

Earlier  in the day, another blast outside a mosque in Syria's capital killed 5 security personnel and 1civilian, as several others were reported wounded according to SANA.

For its part, Syria TV said the blast was caused by an explosives-rigged motorcycle in the neighborhood of Rukn al-Din in central Damascus.  

Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported  that hundreds of soldiers stormed Babila town in Damascus using heavy military vehicles.

Al Kazzaz situated in the northern side of the capital also witnessed violent clashes. Other towns like Deir Al Zour, Idleb, and Aleppo had their shares as well.  

SANA also reported that the pro-regime army thwarted 2 terrorist groups in Aleppo Al Masir.      

Positions:

The Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stressed in an interview with the Chinese television that his country will refuse any attempt to issue a resolution by the Security Council in order to justify foreign intervention in the syrian affars.         

"As mentioned in the Geneva meeting on June 30, settlement of the crisis is only possible through dialogue" Lavrov added.

Denouncing the recent statements of Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi on the Syrian crisis, Damascus considered that Morsi has put an end to his proposal of forming a regional contact group aiming at finding a solution to the conflict in Syria, deeming him responsible for the "shedding of Syrian blood".   

In an interview with the Syrian television on Thursday, The Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mokdad declared that Syria accepts any initiative aiming at ending the Syrian crisis and restoring normal life on Syrian streets and towns.              

Mokdad considered that the discussed troika initiative which includes Egypt is no longer vialble stating that the last 2 statements made by the Egyptian President at the NAM Summit in Iran and during the meeting of Arab Foreign Ministers in Cairo were stemmed away from the country's reality and formed a flagrant interference in the internal Syrian affairs.                

In reference to the Muslim Brotherhood Organization which is banned in Syria, Techrine newspaper stated that Morsi's position is not only related to external pressures, but also to his sympathy with one of the organizations that practices murder and destruction in Syria.
