Jordanian border guards arrest armed group

Jordanian Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications Samih Maayatah mentioned that Jordanian border guards arrested on Saturday dawn an armed group in one of the border areas after exchanging fire with its members.

Minister Maayatah, the official spokesman of the Jordanian government explained to the official Jordanian news agency (PETRA) that all members of this armed group are in the custody of the Jordanian authorities.

For security reasons, the minister didn't give accurate answers to Agence France Presse regarding details about where these militants were arrested, their number, or even their nationality.
