Four Yemeni activists shot by police

According to AFP, 4 activists of the Southern Movement were shot by the police in the city of Ataq, Shabwa’s provincial capital, Southeast of Yemen.               

Witnesses said that hundreds of the Yemeni Islah (Reform) party supporters were demonstrating in the streets of Ataq calling for lifting Former President Ali Abdel Saleh’s immunity. Clashes soon followed between them and supporters of the Southern Movement.                

Witnesses mentioned that police forces intervened to break up the row, shooting several bullets causing the injury of 4 members from the Southern Movement.
