Merkel calls for better control of financial markets

The German Chancellor Angela Merkel called for better control of financial markets, and expressed the need to strengthen the role of international organizations to cope with the growing globalization.

"A significant progress is witnessed, but rules are not yet fully applicable," she concluded.
