New Libya PM presents govt line-up, Fabius to head for Benghazi

             
Libyan Prime Minister elect Ali Zeidan presented his government line-up to the national congress for approval on Tuesday, saying he had formed a "coalition government" which included representation from the country's two major political parties.                 

In a televised congress session, Zeidan said he had nominated Ali Aujali, Libya's ambassador to the United States, as foreign minister and Abdelbari al-Arusi as oil minister.      

Meanwhile French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said that there is “an aggravating problem” overtaking the situation in the country, with the Libyan army being “undisciplined”. Fabius added that he would soon be heading to Libya with further French aid.               

In an interview with “France 2” the French official said, “Libya is a wealthy nation with a substantial amount of oil contrary to neighboring impoverished countries. It needs a general overhaul and we can help.”                

Fabius did not announce the date of his visit to Benghazi for security reasons.
