Disillusioned Jordanian man puts his 8 children up for sale
A Jordanian father posted a sign before the parliament building that read “for sale at auction/come one, come all” in a bid to sell his 8 children.

The Jordanian newspaper As-Sabil reported that the father, Ahmad Masri, hailing from Kafaranja, set up camp outside the parliament building calling for bids on his children: Ibrahim (8), Ali (12), Damen (9), Sleiman and Ahmad (4), Hussein (2) and two daughters.

Tearful, Masri told his story and the reason why he decided to sell his children. “Ever since my bakery went bust after it was taken over illegally, my life has been plagued with misfortune. First, my wife died from a medical error. Second, I became severely ill and could no longer work; Due to my heart disease I could barely make ends meet and all opportunities for income were exhausted. I was fed up with waiting for any response from officials after I had sent hundreds of complaints in a bid to save my family from starvation.”
