3 Syrian army dissidents killed in Idlib
Three Syrian soldiers and a civilian were killed Tuesday morning during the ongoing clashes in Kfarhay, Shanan and Sarja in Jabal al Zawiya in the province of Idlib between soldiers and gunmen who are believed to be dissidents, according to the Syrian Human Rights Observatory.

The observatory said that 52 year-old communist activist Mustafa Ahmad Ali died of a shotgun wound in a Jebb al Jandali neighborhood of downtown Homs.

On the same day, a child was killed and his father severely injured when their vehicle came under fire, according to the observatory. Two civilians were killed near Al Qasir city and four bodies were found on the outskirts of Homs, the same source reported.

In New York, Western countries are pushing hard for a UN Security Council resolution that will condemn the Syrian regime’s oppression against civilians, despite Russian warnings that such a decision will be vetoed.
