Obama calls Merkel to discuss Euro Zone crisis

The White House reported that U.S. president Barack Obama called German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Friday to discuss the latest developments in the Euro Zone which, according to him, poses severe threats to the U.S. economy.

According to a White House statement, Obama and Merkel also discussed preparations for the upcoming G20 summit in south France and agreed to maintain close contact ahead of the meeting.
