Foreign Ministry: Romania suspends its contributions to UNRWA

The Romanian Foreign Ministry announced on Monday that Bucharest has suspended its voluntary payments to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).

Romania thus joins a number of countries that have halted funding pending a comprehensive investigation into Israeli accusations that UNRWA employees were involved in the October 7th attack by the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) on Israel.
