G7 leaders urged external parties to stop fueling the conflict in Sudan, which "continues to deteriorate with increasing civilian casualties," according to a draft summit statement.

The draft seen by Reuters states, "We urge external parties to stop fueling the conflict and encourage all Sudanese actors to engage in a national dialogue that includes the entire Sudanese civil society and aims to rebuild civilian institutions mandated to achieve the democratic aspirations of the Sudanese people."
