Israel issues travel warning for certain areas of Sri Lanka following a terrorist threat

The Israeli National Security Council on Wednesday urged Israelis to leave certain tourist areas in southern Sri Lanka immediately due to a potential terrorist threat. 

The council stated that the warning pertains to the Arugam Bay area and beaches in southern and western Sri Lanka, citing "intelligence regarding a terrorist threat focused on tourist areas and beaches."
