Kerry says Washington ready to talk to North Korea

The US Secretary of State John Kerry said before an audience in Tokyo that the US is ready to talk to North Korea, but Pyongyang has to take “meaningful steps” to honor its international; commitments.     

Kerry said that the United States remains open to authentic and credible negotiations on denuclearization, but the burden is on Pyongyang.         

"North Korea must take meaningful steps to show it will honor commitments it has already made,” Kerry said.
