US experienced second-warmest spring on record: NOAA

The contiguous United States experienced its second-warmest spring on record, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said Monday, adding that drought remains widespread across the country.

More than half of the 48 contiguous states experienced a spring among their three warmest in the 132-year record, while the year marked the driest since 1988, the U.S. weather agency said.
