Mansour responds to Fatfat says hypocrisy and moral regression are his own

The media office of caretaker Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour issued a statement on Tuesday in response to the remarks made by MP Ahmad Fatfat whereby the latter said that “Lebanon does not have a foreign minister, but an agent of the Syrian regime."

“These remarks are a result of the low level of ethics, marked with all the characteristics of treason and shame. His famous statements and hypocritical praise of those who opposed him once are evidence of the moral regression which reflects his true self,” the statement said.

"Fatfat's comments reflect his own level of morals evident when he ordered Lebanese troops to serve tea to Israeli officers at the end of the July 2006 war."

The media office added that the said remarks come within the framework of the daily media and political campaign launched against Mansour, stressing on the other hand that “the caretaker foreign minister is now more committed to the national standards than he has ever been, in order to face the hypocrites who quickly change stances according to the status quo.”
