REPORT: Unknown assailants attack Syrian, Lebanese and Palestinian nationals in Jisr al-Wati

         
The State-run National News Agency reported Wednesday that unknown assailants on board three vehicles attacked Lebanese, Syrian and Palestinian nationals who had been commuting in another van, leaving several injured.         

The victims were heading to a television studio in the region of Jisr al-Wati, near Souk al-Ahad. Three of them were identified as Ali Jaafar, Hovec Sabridjian and Marsis Tamasyan and were rushed to the Mount Lebanon Hospital.        

The Lebanese Red Cross also provided treatment to the injured who were identified as Ibrahim Ahmad, Mohamad Issa and Abdullah Marar.       

For its part, the Civil Defense transferred the three victims Joan Khalil, Ahmad Kilawi and Abdullah al-Haddad to Mar Youssef Hospital.              

The assailants escaped toward the regions of al-Fiat, al-Adlyeh, al-Tayouneh, and then toward the Beirut Southern Suburbs.
