Connelly condemns Bir al-Abed bombing

US Ambassador to Lebanon Maura Connelly strongly condemned on Tuesday the bombing in the Bir al-Abed neighborhood of Beirut Southern Suburb, expressing the United States’ deepest sympathies and concern for those reportedly wounded in the attack.

Ambassador Connelly reiterated the United States’ condemnation in the strongest terms of any violence in Lebanon and called on all parties to exercise calm, constraint, and respect for Lebanon’s security and stability.
