Lebanese and Israeli army on high alert as Israel dismantles spying device off border region

The Lebanese and the Israeli army on both sides of the border south of Lebanon remain in a state of high alert, the state run National News Agency reported Monday.

This comes after Israeli soldiers had crossed the barbed wire Sunday night after the Lebanese army had insisted on removing an Israeli espionage device planted 70 meters inside the borders marked by the barbed wire fence in the southern town of Odeissi.

The UNIFIL had intervened to resolve the dispute, which consequently ended with Israeli soldiers dismantling the said device.
