Rayyes to LBCI: the PSP serves the employees
Progressive Socialist Party media official Rami Rayyes said that voting on Minister Charbel Nahas’s wage adjustment plan reflects the meeting held between Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and the head of the Free Patriotic Movement General Michel Aoun.

Rayyes added that the direction in which votes were cast raised many questions as the government is not a place to take political stances but to solve people’s daily issues.

In an interview to Nharkom Said Rayyes said “the PSP is serving the employees’ best interests but at the same time we should all take into consideration the employers’ reservation on that decision”. “We would have preferred that all parties reach a consensus regarding the wage adjustment as we might go back to square one if the Shura Council does not approve of the proposal”.

On the other hand Rayyes revealed that the disagreement with Hezbollah is centered on the Syrian crisis, calling for the resumption of the national dialogue to agree on a defense strategy that will gradually merge the resistance arms in the state.

“I call on all political parties in Lebanon whether they support the Syrian regime or not to distance Lebanon from all these threats as our country cannot take further political tensions”, Rayyes was quoted as saying.
