REPORT: ISIL claims responsibility for Britel rockets attack

The “Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant” (ISIL) claimed on Friday via Twitter responsibly for the rockets attack on the Bekaa town of Britel.

This comes as two rockets, launched from the Syrian side, landed on the town of Britel, injuring three people.

Later in the day, four rockets hit Britel heights, including one that landed in the nearby town of Bani Sakher.

In this context, the Lebanese Armed Forces Command issued a statement, whereby it said that three rockets, launched from the Syrian side, hit the town of Britel, including one that landed in the house of one of LAF soldiers, causing material damages.

The statement added that army forces rushed to the scene and took the necessary measures, while the military expert examined the scene.
