Ministerial statement drafting committee ends 8th session, new meeting to be held on Friday

The ministerial statement drafting committee ended its eighth session held on Monday at the Grand Serail, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Tamma Salam and in the presence of ministers Boutros Harb, Ali Hassan Khalil, Wael Abou Faour, Gebran Bassil, Nouhad al-Machnouq and Sejaan Azzi.

A new meeting was set to be held on Friday afternoon.

Prior to the session, Labor Minister Sejaan Azzi stressed that the issue of their withdrawal from the cabinet is not up for discussions.

For his part, Interior Minister Nouhad al-Machnouq that the parties’ only choice is to reach agreement, stressing that they will keep on trying until the end.
