Christmas sermons in Lebanon focused on love and harmony
Christmas Masses were celebrated across all Lebanese regions on Sunday and sermons focused on love, harmony and living the true meaning of Christmas.

In this context, Bishop Elias Awde said in his sermon “we will not witness Lebanon’s new birth unless the Lebanese show honesty and good faith towards each other,” adding that faith unifies people while fanaticism creates fundamentalism.

In turn, Maronite Bishop Boulos Matar said that “salvation cannot be achieved by the sword which will be inevitably broken; a vanquisher today will be vanquished tomorrow.”

As for Archbishop Cyril Salim Bustros, he said that Christians of the Arab World are going through a critical period and many of them are questioning their fate.

In Bekaa, Bishop Issam Darwish celebrated Mass for the male inmates in Zahle prison, urging the government to improve the situation of the prisoners so that “the prison becomes a school that graduates skills needed in the country.”
