Mikati: What’s the definition of Al-Qaeda?

PM Najib Mikati revealed on Wednesday that the Lebanese Armed Forces has no concrete evidences on the presence of Al-Qaeda militants in North Lebanon, adding that the government should investigate in the Minister of Defense statements and his definition for Al-Qaeda.

Mikati said that withdrawing Hezbollah’s arms needs a military strategy, a political consensus and a national dialogue. Asked about the wage adjustment issue Mikati replied “I will not approve anything that was not agreed on, I will review Shura council decision to make the right choice”.

On the Special Tribunal for Lebanon Mikati said, “We succeeded in funding the STL; we now have to face to renewal of the Tribunal Protocol in March 2012”.
