Two Al Khalil shot after alleged dispute over sand quarries
Two members from the Al Khalil family, hailing from Hrajel, were injured on Friday after being shot by unknown gunmen. Joseph and Carlos Al Khalil were accordingly transferred to the Ajaltoun hospital for treatment.

LBCI reported that the incident was a result of a dispute in the area over sand quarries, one belonging to the Al Khalil family from Hrajel and the other to the Mhanna family from Kfar Debian and escalated in gunfire, wounding two people.

The shooters fled the scene before the arrival of security forces who are currently tracking Mhanna’s cell phones. Sources told LBCI that the ISF managed to locate the shooters’ hideout who promised to hand themselves in in the coming hours.

After the incident, several members of the Al Khalil family arrived to the crime scene to set Mhanna’s car on fire.
