Ghosn calls for quick approval of GLC-economic bodies agreement

GLC Head Ghassan Ghosn confirmed on Wednesday that the content of the agreement reached between the GLC and the economic bodies is not very different for workers than the decree recently rejected by the Shura Council.

Ghosn stressed the importance of approving and implementing the agreement on the grounds that it is a collective agreement.

Ghosn told Nharkom Said TV show that this agreement constitutes a correct step towards boosting negotiations and social dialogue between producer parties, adding that the cabinet should quickly include the wage issue in its agenda to approve the agreed upon decree.

Ghosn stressed that it is high time to settle the wage issue since soaring prices have eroded wages.
