Seniora: Changes in Egypt are affecting the region

Head of the Hariri Future Bloc Fouad Seniora, chanted before respective interlocutors praises to the Arab Spring which he dubbed as a glorious-blessed Intifada rather than just a coup d'etat.

Having met with Arab League Secretary Amro Moussa and head of the Egyptian human rights organization KIFAYA (Enough), at the ESCWA-sponsored Reform and Transition to Democracy conference at the Phoenicia Hotel, Seniora expressed yearning for freedom and democracy.

He rejected mere substitution of oppressive regimes with mere copies or reproductions of the same brand. Seniora told Amro Moussa and Kifaya official George Ishak that major changes in Egypt would affect the entire Arab World.

Seniora seemed fully agreed with Moussa over the need for Assad to observe, heed and implement relevant clauses of the Arab initiative.
