Syrian Transitional Council and Free Army boost coordination amid ongoing protests
Syrian National Students' Union in Aleppo organized a mass march on Sunday in support of the national independent decision and the comprehensive reform program led by President Bashar al-Assad as the Arab League monitor mission teams continued their tours of Syrian governorates and areas, SANA reported on Monday.

Meanwhile, protesters calling for the ouster of Assad poured into the streets across Syria.

SANA added that, an armed terrorist group on Monday assassinated Brigadier General Mohammed Abdul-Hamid al-Awwad in Ghotta while he was heading for work.

Meanwhile, during a meeting with the Free Syrian Army in Turkey, the Syrian Transitional Council announced the establishment of a Liaison Office that holds a permanent joint coordination between both sides.

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights earlier announced that pro-Assad armed forces opened fire arbitrarily in Homs, leaving 5 dead and 9 injured.

The observatory confirmed that heavy gunfire was heard in the village of Balyoun, in Jabal Alzawea, adding that 5 civilians were injured in the city of Jericho by security forces’ arbitrary gunfire.
