Army mourns LAF Corporal Souheil Mohammad Hassan Dannawi

The Army Command- Orientation Directorate mourned on Tuesday Lebanese Armed Forces martyr, Corporal Souheil Mohammad Hassan Dannawi, who succumbed to wounds sustained in battles with terrorist groups in Arsal, northeast of Lebanon.

Dannawi, born on 10/6/1987, hails from the northern city of Tripoli.

"A date for the funeral procession will be determined later on," the Army Command added.

Clashes erupted in Arsal on Saturday (August 01) when Syrian gunmen deployed across the region after the Lebanese Armed Forces arrested Syrian national Imad Ahmad Jomaa at a checkpoint.

The army said 19 soldiers have been killed, with at least 30 other ISF and LAF soldiers missing and 86 injured in the fighting.
