Geagea urges Arab states to pull out monitors from Syria
Lebanese Forces Leader Samir Geagea condemned on Monday the idleness and negligence shown by the Lebanese cabinet towards the “Syrian-Iranian violations” on Lebanon’s sovereignty.

Geagea also slammed the chaos besieging the wage adjustment issue as well as the deterioration of public services, particularly those related to electricity and telecommunications.

In a statement to L’Orient Le Jour, the LF leader decried the abduction of the three fishermen by Syrian authorities, refuting claims that the fishermen were involved in arms smuggling into Syria.

Geagea said that the root of the issue in Syria is the popular uprising which has been rocking the country since last March, adding that the Free Syrian Army’s use of violence is only the result of this uprising and any solution must tackle the real problem, not its consequences.

The LF Leader called on the Arab states to follow the Saudi example by pulling out their monitors from Syria.
