Lebanese source to Al Jazeera: Lebanon, Israel ambassadors to hold first contact in Washington ahead of talks

A Lebanese official source told Al Jazeera that the first contact between the Lebanese and Israeli ambassadors in Washington is scheduled for 9 p.m. Beirut time.

According to the source, the purpose of the call is to set a date for a preparatory meeting ahead of anticipated negotiations between Lebanon and Israel. The meeting is expected to be trilateral, with the U.S. ambassador to Beirut in attendance.
