Sleiman, Roknabadi meet, discuss bilateral ties
President Michel Sleiman held a meeting on Monday with the Iranian Ambassador Ghazanfar Roknabadi with whom he discussed bilateral relations and touched on the statements put forth by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Chief Qassem Suleimani regarding Lebanon.

Sleiman urged the ambassador to convey to the Iranian president Lebanon's keenness on maintaining Iranian-Lebanese ties based on mutual respect and non-interference in other countries’ internal affairs.

Brigadier General Qassem Suleimani, chief of the Quds Force of the IRGC, announced earlier that Iran was present and in control of South Lebanon.
