British Airways to resume flights to Tripoli
British Airways will restart flights from London to the Libyan capital Tripoli just over a year after it suspended the service due to violent clashes in the country.

The airline said Monday that flights will fly three times a week from London Heathrow airport to Tripoli from May 1, 2012.

British Airways had suspended flights to and from Tripoli in February 2011 as troops controlled by former leader Moammar Gadhafi clashed with protesters. The company said it had decided to resume flights after discussing security matters with the British government and Libyan authorities.
