Hezbollah: electricity crisis product of years of power sector deterioration

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Hezbollah said that the current electricity crisis is the product of a power sector that has been deteriorating for years. Hezbollah stressed that responsibility for this deterioration lies with the succeeding governments, adding that the current cabinet cannot alone be held responsible for this crisis and one ministry cannot be expected to find an appropriate solution.

Hezbollah warned against taking advantage of this livelihood crisis and shying away from this responsibility because of economic and social problems. Hezbollah urged the cabinet to uphold its responsibilities and take the initiative to find a quick solution to this crisis.
