New York Police Department and the U.N. headquarters announced on Friday that two packages containing 16 kilograms of cocaine, sent from Mexico, were wrongly delivered to the U.N. headquarters in New York last week.

When the two packages, carrying an emblem similar to that of the United Nations, were delivered on January 16, U.S. authorities were alarmed.

According to the NYPD spokesperson Paul J. Brown, the two packages contained books with holes in their pages used to hide just about 1 kilogram of cocaine in each.
