Abboud: Anything related to Change and Reform bloc is obstructed

Tourism Minister Fadi Abboud said on Monday that the majority of the Lebanese people refuse that telecom data be put at the disposal of any security apparatus.     

Abboud told Voice of Lebanon that when the telecom data issue was raised, talks on assassinations' attempts surfaced again.     

"It is time for the Lebanese to live in a democratic country where freedoms are sacred," he said.       

"I don't blame any politician for taking preventive measures, but we should not let this phantom prevail over our daily life," Abboud added.       

Commenting on the electricity issue, he noted that the electricity plan was being hindered at different levels, calling therefore for implementing the laws.      

On a different note, the Minister complained that the cabinet's agendas lack important items touching on exhibitions and conferences, suggesting a marginalization of the Tourism Ministry. "      

Obstruction of anything that has to do with the Change and Reform process has become crystal clear," he commented.
