Sleiman grateful for France's constant support to Lebanon

President Michel Sleiman praised on Friday the deep-rooted institutional ties which link Lebanon to France.

He uttered high appreciation to the constant aid offered to Lebanon by France, at various levels, on top of which the sacrifices offered by the French contingent operating within the UNIFIL in South Lebanon.

The President made these remarks during his meeting with the former French Prime Minister Laurent Fabius, in presence of the French Ambassador to Lebanon, Denis Pietton.

Fabius, for his part, conveyed the salutations of Socialist Party candidate for the French presidential elections, Francois Hollande, noting that France's concern over Lebanese affairs will remain unchanged for the benefit of both countries.
