No surgeries and no receiving patients at Beirut General Hospital
Employees of Beirut General  Hospital went on with their sit-in due to the lack of drugs and medical supplies. Dozens of nurses, doctors and workers in all departments rallied in front of the hospital’s courtyard yard on Tuesday morning.

All surgeries were halted and the hospital did not receive patients while the Emergency Room only received severe cases.

Among the sit-in’s demands paying the 1250 employees their salaries for January - some employees did not even get their salary for November – and halting the continuous attacks on the medical staff, the latest being on Monday night in the obstetrics department which was forced to close until the situation was resolved.
