Gemayel: Purposes of Tripoli clash goes beyond Lebanese border

The Head of the Kataeb party Amin Gemayel said on Saturday that the purpose of the unrest in Tripoli is a conflict that goes far beyond the Lebanese border and has nothing to do with the Lebanese issues.

Gemayel called for exerting more efforts to avoid involving Lebanon in conflicts that do not concern it, voicing fear that Lebanon will be once again the victim.

Gemayel urged the cabinet to unite and work on a plan to control arms and make this issue a priority on the national level which will guarantee Lebanon’s stability.
