Layyoun: No one can force Nahas to sign

The Minister of Culture Gaby Layyoun revealed that there is no relation between Minister of Labor Charbel Nahas’s refusal to sign the transportation decree and the fact that PM Mikati suspended the cabinet sessions.

“I believe that Mikati’s decision is against the constitution and he cannot tie the cabinet sessions with Nahas’s signature”, Layyoun told Voice of Lebanon in an interview on Wednesday.

“No one can force Nahas to approve a decree against his will especially if he sees that it might violate the constitution”.

Layyoun called on PM Mikati to accept the head of Change and Reform Bloc MP Michel Aoun’s proposal to establish for the cabinet an internal order on which all members agree.
