Fassouh Building final investigation

The latest investigations into the Fassouh building collapse held the building owner responsible for the incident which caused more than 27 dead and several injured.

The minister of Interior Marwan Charbel revealed that three causes led to the incident: The building was built a long time ago and needed maintenance, the owner removed a small sand-wall on the first floor to build a small basement in addition to the effect that construction works on the adjacent building had on the building that collapsed.

Charbel said that he will send the investigation report to the cabinet in order to take the necessary actions and to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
